Our commitment

Teravin Tools Pty Ltd ("we", "us") is a family-owned business based in Balcatta, Western Australia. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. We never sell, rent or trade your personal information to data brokers or anyone else.

What we collect

• Quote and contact requests: your name, company, email address, phone number and the details of your enquiry.
• AI Tool Finder: your name, company and email address, the questions you ask, the answers you receive and any photos you upload.
• Technical information: information such as your IP address and browser type, used to keep the website secure and to block automated abuse.

We only collect what we need to respond to you and to supply our products and services.

How we use it

• To answer your enquiries, prepare quotes and supply products.
• To follow up on Tool Finder conversations. A copy of each Tool Finder chat is sent to our sales team so we can confirm the right products, part numbers, stock and pricing.
• To keep the website secure and to improve our service.

We will only contact you about your enquiry and our products and services. You can ask us to stop at any time.

Service providers we use

We use a small number of trusted providers to run this website. They handle information on our behalf and only for these purposes:

• Netlify hosts the website and receives form submissions.
• Anthropic provides the AI that powers the Tool Finder and processes the messages and photos you send to it.
• Cloudflare provides the security check that protects the Tool Finder from bots, and cookie-free website statistics (such as page views and visitor country) that don’t identify you.
• Microsoft 365 provides our business email.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose providers with strong security and privacy practices and take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected.

Cookies and storage

We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Our website statistics are anonymous and don’t use cookies. The Tool Finder keeps your session in your browser while the tab is open so you don’t have to re-enter your details, and the security check may set a cookie that is needed for it to work.

Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, and then delete it securely.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing sales@teravin.tools or calling +61 8 9345 2099. If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact us first and we will respond as soon as we can. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
